Two Raymond Solutions Named Finalists for Plant Engineering's Product of the Year Awards
Plant Engineering has chosen the Raymond Virtual Reality Simulator and the Raymond High-capacity Reach-Fork® truck as finalists for its Readers’ Choice Product of the Year Awards.
GREENE, N.Y., November 28, 2018 — Plant Engineering has chosen the Raymond Virtual Reality Simulator and the Raymond High-capacity Reach-Fork® truck as finalists for its Readers’ Choice Product of the Year Awards. Magazine subscribers can vote across various categories that span 15 components of plant engineering, from asset management to automation in warehouses and plants. Raymond’s solutions were nominated because of their innovation in the industry.
In the Material Handling System category is the Raymond® High-capacity Reach-Fork truck, designed specifically to address the growing customer need to store more product, move it faster and increase overall warehouse productivity. Not only does it have a longer battery shift life and the ability to lift up to 4,500 pounds but also it is ideal for cold storage, withstanding temperatures as low as -20 F.
In the Productivity & Training category, the Raymond Virtual Reality Simulator offers supplemental education for forklift operators on an actual truck, leading to an increase in productivity and confidence. The virtual reality lessons increase in complexity to build upon principles learned in earlier modules, allowing operators to become comfortable with the forklift before even reaching the warehouse floor.
