Meet Ryan, a junior at Binghamton University studying Mechanical Engineering. Get to know more about Ryan's experience working in Manufacturing Engineering at Raymond.

What has your experience at Raymond been like so far?

Raymond has been a great place to be a co-op. In my experience, every person that I have worked with has been helpful. Solutions to problems may not be obvious at first, but asking for input and advice from co-workers has been the best tool by far. Also, when given a project to work on, your ideas and suggestions are taken just as seriously as any other employee within the company.

How are you applying what you study to your job here at Raymond?

Being an engineering major has been useful when math and science is involved in your projects. Introductory courses in coding have been important within excel for making calculations easier for myself and have been utilized in projects, too.

What career advice would you give to others hoping to secure a future co-op/internship?

Apply to every co-op and internship within your field of study. No one is going to fulfill every requirement on the application and maybe you could be the intern that fits that position. The only way to know is to apply and find out.
