All Raymond® trucks can interface with this most common type of warehouse rack.
In the case of orderpickers, the operator is manually picking product directly from the rack and placing it on the pallet, as opposed to moving partial or full pallet loads using the forks.
Raymond introduced the Deep-Reach®
truck concept in 1971, saving customers two aisles out of
five versus single deep storage. The Raymond Deep-Reach Truck allows double-deep pallet storage in the racks. Aisle
width is around feet.
Double Deep Pallet Rack is similar to Selective Rack in that it offers selectivity for accessing SKUs or part numbers. It also is a cost effective storage method for storing multiple pallets of each part number because pallets are stored two deep in each pallet slot. The result is an approximate 30% decrease in selectivity but a 30% increase in the number of pallets stored.
Drive-in and drive-thru rack is used to store many pallets of each SKU. It is particularly effective for products that have very fast turnarounds such as produce or seasonal items. Drive-In and Drive-Thru rack is also seen in freezer applications where customers are sometimes willing to sacrifice selectivity and productivity for increased pallet storage due to the cost of freezer space.

A highly engineered “Christmas tree” concept, cantilever rack has almost unlimited flexibility in the length of the product stored and allows the storage of items which are long, awkward and heavy. Steel bars, tubes, furniture, plywood, piping, metal and Formica sheets are typical of items suitable for cantilever rack storage. When decked to provide rows of continuous shelves, cantilever racks are ideal for the storage of large cases, furniture, etc. Cantilever racking usually requires the use of specialized forklift equipment such as Sideloaders, special Orderpickers and four-directional reach trucks.

Pallet Flow Rack provides lanes of pallet storage that store pallets at an angle. Each lane of
pallet positions has frames with built-in wheels that act like
conveyors for advancing pallets forward by gravity as pallets
are removed from the rack system. Pallet Flow Rack is used to
store multiple pallets of each SKU.
Because product flows down tracks to the face of the rack, empty slots are at the rear of the rack and can be replenished without sacrificing first-in/first-out stock rotation, and without interrupting order picking. Pallet flow rack is often used for picking cases and in high volume applications that use a conveyor, as in a “pick-to-belt” system that handles fast moving SKUs.

Push Back Rack adds capacity to a
warehouse or distribution center by allowing pallet storage
two, three, four and five deep. Pallets sit on four-wheeled
carts that make the loads flow toward the aisle due to gravity.
This high-density storage allows expansion within an existing space. The push back rack system increases cube utilization by 50% or more over other conventional selective rack systems.
